Unloading

As I unload pictures from my phone onto the computer, I smile. I never take my camera with me anymore, so if I want to capture a 'moment' to send to Ross during his work day or usually to my sister so we can laugh - my cell phone does the job. So here is the month of September according to my phone....in no particular order....

We went and picked raspberries at a farm. Super cheap way to buy those suckers. Made some yummy homemade jam and Evan found a new, and very messy, favorite. He likes to hold things up in the air and admire them before he shoves them in his mouth. Weird.

The first thing I ate post Red Rock Relay. Even with all the new fro yo places around, I still love me some Maverick.

Watching these hygienist's get their flirt on while mildly attempting to clean my daughter's teeth

all the while Evan is having the time of his life with the fish tank.

Look closely.

A scone the size of my head at Swiss Days with my mom and sister.

Swiping his sister's sample cup of yogurt like a ninja before I could get him some of his own while shopping at Costco.

Evan trying with all his might to get the dog that followed us home. This kid loves animals. We can be inside and he will hear a dog bark a block away and gets all excited. He would love a dog of his own. I used to want one too....and then we got a yard.

Anna listens so well when I remind her to put shoes on before she goes outside.

State fair. The kids had fun. But not as much fun as Chelsie and I did eating samples for lunch at the Utah's Own booth. We are so lame.

On a side note. Can this weather stay until Christmas Eve? Just a thought...

So Long Summer

So long Summer bike rides up the canyon,

throwing rocks in the water all day long,

taking naps any and everywhere - It was a long and early morning...

So long (not quite yet) to fresh corn on the cob,

Summer rain/hailstorms. Who knew it was so captivating?!

cute Summer clothes,

warm trips to Bear Lake/farmer tans ;) Sorry Ross. lol.
At least you have a tan, right?!

playing in the sand,

play dates at awesome parks,

I forced my children to go down the slide with me. Pretty much wrestled them both the whole way down. I am sure I was a sight to see.

Eden flirted with Evan the whole time - followed him, laughed at his sillyness,

even tried planting a big fat one on him. Too cute.

Finishing said playdate with Yogurtland. I don't care how cold it gets, I will always want my fro yo.

Channeling his inner King Kong?

So long to dutch oven get togethers with friends.

The kids loved helping Barb make the cobbler. Mmmmm. Peach cobbler.

Our dinner. Please see here for my yummy main course dish.

Summer lovin' :)
My happy camper. Though he was pretty tired by the end. And I was tired of him crawling all over in the dirt.

Farewell Summer. You were good to us this year. Hello Fall. Please stay longer than two weeks so I can enjoy your smell, the crisp air, that I don't have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to go running outside, and pumpkin flavored everything. And let's just forget that Winter is next. Boo to the cold! Can't it just be Spring and Fall always?
