I feel like Facebook and Blogging has made 'stars' out of everyone. Not necessarily made people famous, but lets people you know (and sometimes people you don't know) what is going on in your life. When I run into people I haven't seen in a long time, instead of being super excited, hugging and asking 'what have you been up to?' It's more of a casual 'Hey! What's going on? How did that doctor appointment go last week?' Does anyone else think this is weird. It's like everyone has their own spread of 'Stars: They're Just Like Us!' in an issue of People magazine and I read it to know what has been going on in their lives.
Sometimes I wish that there really was some paparazzi following me and taking pictures of the mundane things I do every day, because lately, I surely have not. But then I realize my terrible habit is going to make me sad one day when I look back and I can't remember all the little things we did that were fun, the places we went and the funny things my kids did or said. Can you hire photographers to follow you around? Maybe if I did my own spread in People would go something like this....Evan finally cut his bottom two teeth and now demands that whenever his mother (Megan) eats an apple, she share.
Please note most pictures were taken with an ancient cell phone camera. Annabelle wants to dress up her little brother, but her parents won't let her. She improvises by using blankets to drape around Evan as dresses. She is having a grand time, her brother, not so much :)
Instead, Evan would much rather spend hours (seriously) ripping pages out of a magazine, after all, it does make a pretty cool sound. Notice the magazine is People. Haha.
Megan heads to an outing at Kirt's drive in (that's right) with friends from the ward she grew up in. At dinner Leah and Ashley order both a raspberry slush and a raspberry glacier. Oddly enough they both came out purple and tasted very similar to to grape. Upon bringing this oddity up to the waitress she told us they had a 'new' raspberry flavor that was purple. Rrrright. Who makes a purple raspberry? Heidi and Chelsie looked on laughing.

This last weekend Megan steps out again with some other friends for GNO. Too much food was consumed, and the noise level reached from talking alone would rival the Energy Solutions Arena. She stayed out until midnight and is still experiencing a talking and binge eating hang over.
Annabelle visits the dentist and behaves much better this time. Megan is shocked that they are actually able to take x-rays and clean her teeth. It helps that this place was completely kid-centric with a fish tank with Dorie and Nemo fishes, every kind of princess tooth brush, tvs in the ceiling, Dr. Seuss bibs, and treasure chests full of prizes. And no cavities for Annabelle. Wahoo!
Evan has found a new friend he could stare at for hours. Can you blame him?
Annabelle no longer takes an afternoon nap. Such a sad day. Megan says she can still put her down for one but then she stays up until midnight as a result and it is just not 'worth it'. We noticed that if she is in the car for more than 10 minutes after 4 PM, this is the result.
Yes, I do have a husband, but as you can see we have no pictures of either one of us. Hmmm. Maybe if I were in a magazine there would be reports of us splitting. lol. That is not the case, but it does make me realize that if I want pictures of me and my friends, me with my husband or with all of our family together, those pictures are never going to be taken by me. Maybe I really do need to hire someone. Do you think there is a spot for a personal photographer on KSL?
