High School

I was tagged by Melanie and Melissa for this one, so I guess I better do it. A high school tag..I am not so sure about this. Remember what I was like in high school?

1. Did you date someone from your school? Not really. I went on dates, but did not 'date' anyone. I think that is why my family was convinced I was never going to get married. Nice huh?
2. What kind of car did you drive? Grey and blue 1989 Ford F150. A.K.A. The Beastie Bus.
3. What was the most embarrassing moment of High School? At the Sweetheart assembly my junior year. They called my name and some others' down onto the stage. They then announced they knew some of the students 'secret' crushes. They wanted these students to go behind this screen on stage that had a light behind it and turn off all the lights so everyone could see the silhouette. Then the crushee could give the crusher a Hersheys kiss, a hug or a real kiss. First up....they announced I had a crush on Josh Tanner. I was so embarrassed. In front of the whole school!! I remember the lights going off and people yelling 'yeah Overman/ovaries!' The only thing that comforted me was the fact that probably almost every other girl in the school had a crush on him too...and the fact that I got a kiss from him out of it.
4. Were you a party animal? No.
5. Were you considered a flirt? Rrrright. Ross told me after we got married that I don't flirt or if I was flirting, then I was horrible at it. I don't know which is worse.
6. Were you in a band, orchestra, or choir? No, no and no. I wish I could sing.
7. Were you a nerd? Roswell obsession anyone? That is all anyone wrote about in my year book my senior year - so yeah, big nerd.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Drill Team.
9. Did you get suspended/expelled? Surprisingly, no. Considering I spent a considerable amount of time talking with the principal in both elementary and junior high. My mouth always got me into trouble.
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I couldn't even tell you 2 words from it. But the school song - I sing that all the time to annoy my Fremont Alumni of a husband :)
11. Who were your favorite teachers? Mrs. Keim and Nicholls - they let me be their TA my senior year and that was fun grading my little sisters homework. Bwa ha ha. And Mrs. Deutry (nutrition teacher) she seriously has to be on some sort of drugs with her skinniness, wiry hair and dark sunglasses. Jason Call would eat pop tarts and cookies in her class and when she would scold him, he would tell her I told him that they were healthy. She was always disgusted by it and it was funny. Then after we learned about eating right Kelley and I would hit up McDonalds. Good times.
12. Where did you sit during lunch? Depends....Sophomore year - by our lockers, Junior year - in the lunchroom, and Senior year - in the senior hall or on the small section of 'The Wall' were I had a clear view of the commons and could yell at anyone I wanted to talk to and/or heckle the boys sitting at 'The Wall' who heckled innocent people as they walked by.
13. What was your school's full name? Weber High School
14. School Mascot? Warriors
15. Did you go to Homecoming and who with? Christian Hancock. I had to look that up. All I remember is he Clorox bleached his hair the day of the dance and it was so ugly. Then his ex girlfriend came up to him at the dance and told him how sexy it looked. Awkward.
16. If you could go back and do it again, would you? No.
17. What do you remember most about graduation? Telling some of the people that sat by me that I was happy I wouldn't have to see any of them again. I really said that- so not nice. On a happier note, I remember my mom chaperoning the graduation party (yah), staying up for 48 hours straight, being super hyper at Denny's and embarrassing Ashley. And Marcia and I being completely delusional at yearbook signing.
18. Where did you go Senior Skip day? Pineview
19. Were you in any clubs? National Honor Society.
20. Who was your prom date? Brett Jensen. My 6th grade boyfriend. He told everyone I ate a lot on our date.
21. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? I don't know. I doubt we have one.
22. Looking back, what advice would you give yourself? Sssssshhhhhhh!

I tag Marcia, Angela, Ashley L., and Lori. If you want....but you should :)

Happy Halloween!

I like Halloween - I mean a holiday that is devoted to candy eating..how could I not? Not to mention this year I found the cutest little butterfly to take trick-or-treating with me.

She has some pretty cute lil' buddies too. We got these pictures done at Kiddie Kandids a while back and it was quite the experience. Getting four children, who were all apparently super hungry at the time, to smile AND look at the camera at once? Enough said. If you are dying to hear a full recap, you can read my sisters post
here.

Last Saturday some of our friends threw a Halloween party. We were supposed to dress up, but Ross and I are lame and can never think of anything clever and/or easy and cheap to dress up as. Any suggestions seeing as how Halloween is still yet to come and we still have some more parties to attend? I hate being a party pooper. I hope I made up for my lack of Halloween spirit by bringing these.
Of course I stole the idea from Bakerella, here. Hers are much cuter, but they were still a hit. The kids especially loved them. I only attempted the pumpkins and the werewolves as I didn't really want to buy a butt load of stuff and let's face it, the other stuff looked way more complicated than what I can do.

This is the best idea I could come up with on how to get them there. I didn't think styrophoam would look so festive. Ross had fun drawing the faces on the pumpkins. You can't see it in this picture, but he drew one that had blood dripping from his mouth....yyaaahh. Also, I couldn't find a black edible ink pen anywhere. Maybe people are hoarding those too. Does anyone know where I could find one cause I think they would have looked better with black faces.
Also, while I am pleading for help left and right, a lot of my pumpkins cracked after cooling (the chocolate shell, that is) does anyone have any tips to prevent this from happening? I was quite sad when it happened and almost didn't want to take them. Then I remembered mostly chillins would be eating them and what do they care? High sugar content? Check! I think that about covers it.

Utah's Hoarding Problem

Back in May I was at the grocery store and I went to grab a bag of rice. Lo and behold there was no rice left. I thought it was strange, I mean I have never seen the 4 rows of rice they have at Wal-Mart empty, but whatever. I returned the next week to do my grocery shopping and I stopped again to get some rice and there still was none. Huh.

While on the phone with my mom she mentioned the 'rice shortage' that was going on. Well Ross and I eat a lot of rice - seriously, almost all of our meals include it - so it is much needed. Any who, my mom was at Costco and she looked for rice. None. She checked her local grocery stores for any rice to buy for me and NONE. People must have heard about the 'shortage' and rushed to buy all they could.

So my mom calls her sister who lives in California to see if there is rice there. Of course there is! Why wouldn't there be?! My aunt was flying to Utah that weekend so she bought 8, 5 pound bags of rice and hauled them to good ol' Utah. 2 weeks later there is rice on the shelves and it has never disappeared again. SO weird.

This story brings me to my next dilemma. Have you heard about the pumpkin spice Hershey kisses? They are a limited edition and only sold at Target and they sound delicious. After seeing this post and recipe, it only furthered my desire to try them. So I go to my local Target and they are all out. I asked the employee if they would get any more in and he didn't think so. Boooo! Why wouldn't they get more in if they have 2 huge empty bins and they keep featuring them in their ads?

I called my mom and expressed to her my disappointment. So on her way home from an appointment she stopped at 2 Targets to see if they had any...nope.

I called the Orem Target and got this reply 'No.'

I called the South Town Target and heard 'No. I hope we get some cause someone calls and asks about them every 5 minutes.'

I called the West Jordan Target and the lady sighed and said, 'No. And don't bother calling any other Target in the state because they are all out too.'

Well that would have been helpful about 5 stores ago. LAME! How can all the Target stores in the state be sold out. I got online to research the matter and this is what I found (click here). People are selling this stuff on EBAY!

Flash forward to the next day when my mom is talking to her sister in Cali and is telling her of our problem. She lives by a Target said she would stop by and see if they had any. And...? They DID! 4 huge bins full. Jigga what?! Stupid Utah. So my wonderful Aunt Nan shipped 16 bags of Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses directly to my mom's door.

I made the cookies, although I could not find coarse sugar for the life of me (maybe people are stocking up on it as well - who knows?!) so I had to use this. It worked for the 'crunch' but it definitely wasn't as pretty.

I love fall. I love pumpkin. I love sugar.

Seedaz, Shoes and other Shenanigans

For family home evening on Monday we decided to carve a pumpkin, or as Anna likes to call them 'Kumpins.' Of course while Ross was drawing the pumpkins face Anna requested that she be a butterfly for the evening (that is what she is being for Halloween - she has quite the fascination) and who am I to deny her that request?

At first she was a little hesitant to stick her hand inside and get the seeds. Who can blame her really? Although roasted pumpkins seeds are the best part of carving a pumpkin. Mmmmm.

But she actually ended up loving it. She wanted to get 'more seedaz' to play with. They entertained her for the rest of the evening. And she hasn't stopped talking about them since. Every time she sees the pumpkin now she will say 'seedaz all gone!'

It's only fair she wears her Halloween pajamas to bed that night as well. They even glow in the dark - she kind of gets freaked out by that.

The finished product.

Tuesday my shoes finally came. A week late and not in time for the wedding, but I still got them. **sigh** I like them.

And then yesterday was my niece Bradee Jane's 5th birthday. We drove to Ogden because that is where everyone and their dog lives for a fun filled party to celebrate. We went to Fat Cats to bowl.

My parents are actually insanely good, which is lame. So we had a game of the Thompsons vs. the Dinsdales and left my parents out - no one wants pressure when bowling. Ross takes his game pretty seriously. This is him frustrated because he missed one pin and didn't pick up the spare he so greatly desired.
It didn't matter because in the end we beat them anyway. Bwa ha ha! I had to include this picture of Chelsie and Cooper. Cooper broke his leg Monday night and the poor lil' guy is being such a trooper crawling around dragging his casted dead leg behind him.

After bowling we went to the Pizza Factory. Oh how I heart their bread sticks. This place holds a special place in my heart seeing as how it started in St. George. My first year at Dixie I had a friend who worked there and he would bring home pizza to eat all the time. That, along with all the ice cream I brought home from when I worked at ColdStone is what surely helped me gain my freshman 15. Good times. Good times.

I recommend going to the Pizza Factory if it is your birthday. Look at this honking dessert they gave her. It was a chocolate chip cookie made in a skillet with ice cream and other toppings. She was gracious enough to share with all of us. Happy Birthday Bradee - you are my favorite 5 year old I know!

Weekend Fun

Yesterday Ross and I spent the day apart hanging out with our friends. It is always nice to hang out with friends. However, when you and your spouse both don't see each other until 10:45 that , you both like to talk a lot and all you want to do is tell each other about your days - it makes for a late night.

Ross was able to go with some of his buddies from high school to the REAL soccer game. He said the stadium was awesome, but the crowd was even better. REAL even won the game and in so doing might actually make it to their first playoff game.

When I called him to tell him I was on my way home I couldn't even hear what he was saying because his friends were so laughing and being so loud in the background. It made me laugh because boys always make fun of what girls sound like when they get together, but really guys are the same way.

I got to hang out with my fabulous friends from USU. We had a shower for Tiff (upper right) who is having a little girl in January and Melissa (middle between the Chelsie and I) who is getting married this weekend. I am so happy for these girls. It was so fun to hang out, catch up and laugh at all of our weirdness. Thanks for being my friends, even after I make weird faces and noises when I tell stories ;)

For the shower I wanted to make this White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake (click here for the recipe). Please note that the cheesecake tastes much better if you disregard what is mentioned to the left of the recipe. I had envisioned each slice placed on a well presented plate (like in the photo below)

However, once I got the cheesecake out of the fridge to serve to everyone all I could think about was the quickest route to get the cheesecake into my mouth. So basically we served is plain and unpretty. Although even without the syrup it was delicious and I highly recommend it :) Chelsie and I had fun dressing up a slice after the shower was over for the picture.

In Anna news, she has started to say 'cheese' whenever we are taking her picture (and is doing so in the picture above). She is also starting to play pretend and to sing songs on her own a lot more and it is so fun to listen to her and watch her play. The other day we asked her what Daddy's name was and she replied 'Daddy Parka Dinale' and then pointed to me and said 'Mommy Parka Dinale'. The same goes when we asked her what her aunt Lacie's name was, 'Wacie Parka Dinale'. Apparently everyone in the world shares her middle and last name.
All of this is cute except for when she is supposed to be sleeping. I will put her down for a nap or when she goes to bed at night she will seriously talk for 2 hours STRAIGHT until she falls asleep. Is there any way to get her to sleep more quickly and a little more quietly? I will ponder that over another slice of cheesecake....

I've Been Tagged by Lyndi

Sorry it has taken me so long to get to this Lyndi. I got tagged 4 times in one week and I wanted to spread them out a bit so people don't want to scratch their eyes out reading so much about me.

1. If every job paid $50,000 a year, and you had no physical or mental limitations, what would you do? Personal trainer (try to contain your laughter) who wouldn't want to get paid for working out?! Plus it said I wouldn't have any physical limitations....

2. What is your current church calling? What do you like about it? What have some of your other callings been? I am a Visiting Teaching District Supervisor (the one who calls and harasses you to see if you did your VT that month). I like it because it reminds me that I need to do mine so that I am not a hypocrite. LOL. I have been the ward librarian in two different wards (seriously. I must look the type or something) and on 'baby duty' in another. I have no idea what the professional name was called, but I would make sure new moms in the ward got a baby blanket and meals delivered to them. In that ward there was at least one baby born each week. Oh Utah **sigh**

3. Name a person you regularly encounter (outside your family) who brightens your day. Probably Anjanette, much to her dismay. She lives in our same building and I love talking to her and Annabelle loves playing with her little girl. So it's a win-win situation...for us anyway ;)

4. In twenty years, what do you think you will miss most about your life now? Probably how simple it is - I only have 3 people I am taking care of, cleaning up after, making meals for and the like.

5. What’s something you appreciate about your spouse?
He is very smart and he works hard to provide for our family. He is always trying to improve himself to be a better husband and father and will do anything to make me happy. I love his random sense of humor...most of the time... he can always make me laugh.

6. What is your favorite routine, household chore? My first choice might be vacuuming, but with the carpet we have now it is more depressing. Maybe dishes? I don't mind any chores, except dusting. Bleh.

7. What’s a book you return to occasionally (besides the scriptures.)? I usually read a book and then I am done with it. I have only re read the Harry Potter series because I had to re read the previous book before a new one came out so I could remember what was going on.

8.Favorite Small Pleasure: Baking, but mostly eating the aforementioned baked goods.....and celebrity gossip.

9. Favorite time of the day? That is tough - probably 4:00PM. When Anna is sleeping and I am dancing with Ellen. A close runner up is 6:00PM when Ross is home and we are eating dinner :)

10. Name a person who performed what they thought was a small act of service, but ended up being a big deal to you: My mom - she does so much for me all the time. There is no way I could pick one.

11. Name someone who somehow changed your life: Annabelle. I never knew such a little thing could change my life so dramatically..and pretty much run my life too. She can be the one that determines if we do anything that day (because of her attitude) and her attitude greatly affects mine, as much as I try for it not to. No one can make me upset so quickly or make me laugh so hard either. I love her so much and I would do anything for her.

12. Consider what you do each day. Think of one attribute or trait that you bring to your daily work that is a strength—what is something you do really well? I am determined....some might call it stubborn :) I make lists of things I want to accomplish each day and for the future. I am a goal oriented person and I like to achieve what I set out to do. Maybe that is why failure is my biggest fear.

I always get yelled at when I tag people so I won't this time around. There! Are you happy now?!

Arizona Recap

For the plane ride there I was an over prepared mom (good) with a terrified daughter (entertaining)

Anna did so awesome on the plane ride there. Although taking off and landing she honestly gripped Ross' finger so tight she actually started to perspire, but she didn't cry. Phew! Thanks everyone for the tips and positive vibes!

However, waiting an hour in line for a rental car during your childs nap time = Chelsie and I not caring that Anna and Cooper were playing tag across the terminal as we just sat there and watched.

Best place we ate on the trip? Joes Farm Grill.

It is this cute diner with a old fifties feel to it where they actually have a garden out back where they grow most everything they need produce wise, or they buy locally.

Their food is all natural, they try and minimize using prepared foods and everything is trans fat free. Anna really liked the ketchup and ended up getting it all over her face. This picture doesn't do it justice. I don't think she was too happy when she realised what had happened either.

Saturday was Justin and Kailee's wedding and we needed to come an hour and a half early to get pictures taken. Only our family didn't need to be in the pictures until later so Anna just sat and waited patiently like any near 2 year old would.

NOT!

Where are the parents? Somebody control their kids! Meh. Overrated.

Oh wait, Here is a family picture (well our family at least). Thanks Brandon.

Time for the ceremony. Justin and Kailee looked awesome - seriously so happy. Woot!

Arriving early to Justin's wedding so that we could get family pictures caused for some toddlers who wanted nothing to do with sitting still during the ceremony. What keeps a mouth busy? Food...and lots of it!

Cutest niece ever, Bradee Jane, as the flower girl.

Chelsie with another man - and Brandon took pictures! Gasp! Okay, so she was a bridesmaid - the other story is cooler.

After the ceremony the actual family pictures were taken by the photographer and it was cocktail hour. Sweet. Anna loves her some olives - seriously, the kid would eat a whole can if I let her.

By this point it is 7 o'clock Arizona time (8 o'clock our time) which is Anna's usual bed time. Mind you she had a crappy nap the day before and a crappy night of sleep. So she found my diaper bag, got out her blanket, laid it on the floor and pretended to sleep. Maddie joined her and she didn't like that too much. This is how she felt by then.

And this is how I felt.

So Ross took her back to the hotel to put her to bed while I stayed for the rest of the festivities. It was a fun time - we didn't get back until way late. We pretty much packed up the next morning and came home. Anna crashed on the plan ride back (wahoo!) and when we got home that is all I wanted to do. We were gone only 2 days total, but when you are traveling with kids it feels like a lot more. I think it might take me days to recover, especially since the temperature dropped 40 degrees while we were gone - what is up with that?

On My Mind

  • I want this election to be over with.
  • I thought my purple toe nail was finally starting to heal, and then it fell off Saturday - all of it. Now my husband can't look at my feet. I feel like some sort of mutant.
  • How does Anna know what to say in certain situations? The other day we were at the mall and she wanted to go up the escalator, so we did. At the top she sighed, looked at me and said, 'Phew! We made it!' Where does she hear this stuff?
  • A Paradise Bakery just opened up by me and I want to go eat a dozen cookies all by myself.
  • I don't always watch 'The Biggest Loser' but I do like it. Last night I found myself watching it since it was on pretty late and Anna was in bed. I don't know why but I couldn't stop laughing when Jillian said, 'I have been nice this season. It makes me want to puke all over myself, I have been so nice.'
  • Why do stores have online only products? I really wanted this and this for this weekend and when I went to the store to get them, they were no where to be found. I felt stupid when I came home and realized they were only available online and it was too late to get it here on time.
  • My brother is getting married this weekend (hence the purchases I wanted above) so we are flying to Arizona on Friday. That is right people. All of my family will be attending, including 4 children (3 of which are under the age of 2). I think this article about sums up how I feel about it getting there.

There needs to be a word for babies that aren't really babies anymore: Nine to 12 months, when they can't walk or talk, but they can stay awake for hours, pull a shelf of books down on their heads and stick their finger in electric sockets. I vote for "Destructo." Our boy hit the Destructo phase six weeks ago. He used to be the easiest, happiest kid! He could play with the same toy for an hour. He could sleep in restaurants or be smuggled into movies. No more. Now he gets his kicks from sticking his face in a dog bowl, or opening a drawer, pulling out all the clothes, then opening and shutting it until he slams his finger.

You don't want to travel with Destructo. We flew cross-country two weeks ago and I am still drinking two glasses of wine every night to recover. OK, three. All right, it's a whole bottle. It was just me and him on the way back. Think about holding a 25-pound fish that's wiggling to get back into the ocean for six hours as the fish emits bloodcurdling screams and you're stressing that everyone hates you. Does that sound like fun? The one silver lining was the 12 different times we went to the bathroom. Destructo really liked the sound the toilet made when it flushed so I kept flushing it even though I was probably harming the atmosphere. When toilet flushing is the highlight of any trip, you know you're in trouble.

Some tips if you're ever on a plane with me and Destructo. First, don't empathize by telling me, "I know how it is, I just flew with our baby for 12 hours, although he slept the whole way." Great! I'm glad your perfect kid slept the whole way and mine didn't! UP YOURS! Second, don't say, "Don't worry about us, we're used to this." What does "this" mean? Being tortured? Just read your Vanity Fair and shut your piehole. Third, don't keep glancing back sadly like you feel bad for me! Just don't! Fourth, if he falls asleep, don't walk by me and say loudly, "He finally fell asleep, huh?" Unless you want a dirty diaper stuck in your carry-on bag. Fifth, if you're the pilot, don't interrupt us every few minutes because you're excited that we might get in four minutes early, or that we're flying over the Grand Canyon when it's pitch-black. You're lucky that door was locked. And sixth, when it's over, don't pretend that Destructo was good as I'm holding clumps of my own hair in my hands and staring into space like a mental patient.
Here's what you can do: If you're the flight attendant, keep bringing me wine like the nice lady did throughout our flight. I don't know where you are, honey, but thank you again! And thanks for not judging me as I stumbled off the plane like Heather Locklear. No jury would convict me.

Only my kid CAN walk and talk...a lot. Which in her case and for everybody's sake on the plane might be worse. Plus I won't be using alcohol as a means for mentally escaping the situation. I am glad it is a short flight. Anyone who has flown with a child who won't sit on their parents lap for the life of them...any tips?

Beef Jerky

For all of those who thought I was a horrible wife to leave my husband alone to watch our daughter while I acted like a fool at the SYTYCD concert with my sister on our anniversary - we did celebrate it that weekend. As previously mentioned, I am not much of a romantic so Ross surprised me with tickets to Body Worlds 3. Which was really nice of him cause I know how much the human body can gross him out.

It was such an awesome exhibit! We were there for over 2 hours and I could have stayed longer if I wasn't getting so hungry :) I expected the exhibit to be full of complete human plastinates like the 2 above, but they had so much more. They had all the bones, plus bones with arthritis, bones cut in half to see the bone marrow, different muscles and organs - normal and with different cancers and diseases. For instance, I don't understand how people smoke to begin with, but I wish I could carry this set of lungs around with me to show to anyone who was smoking...especially in the vicinity of my child.

It was interesting to learn about plastination (you can read about it here ) especially seeing how they got all the arteries to be plasinated. These are just the arteries in the head - CRAZY!

Ross asked me when we were there if I thought the eyes on the plastinates were real. Immediately I said no. How could they be? I found out later they ARE real! Although the eyes are one of the first things to decompose so they do put fake iris in them.

They also had 'body slices' from all different angles. All I could think about was how Andy Anderson would be like a little kid in a candy shop at this place. For those who are a little confused, Andy is the Nazi Human Anatomy and Physiology teacher at USU - he is an amazing teacher and I loved his classes even though they were freakishly hard. Lets just say he is a little....different.....

I was so proud of Ross - he only got a little weired out at one of the plastinates. Although there was a room full of different fetus' at different weeks of life that we both thought was a little strange. It was so cool to see a real fetus from conception all the way up to 31 weeks - it is so much different than any picture or drawing I had ever seen, but at the same time it was weird to think that these were real babies. At one time they were alive. It was just different than looking at a full grown plastinate who at least got to live a life.

I would recommend this exhibit to anyone looking to learn more about the human body and those who want to appreciate all our bodies do. I told Ross when we left that God is amazing. To which he said, 'Yah. He is one heck of an engineer.' Seriously?

You can even donate your body to be plastinated.

TAG! 6 Quirks

I was tagged by Tynel. Here are the rules: Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours. Tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged.

1 - I am not a big fan of reality TV (except for SYTYCD and for some reason Americas Next Top Model - the latter I am not sure why). I have only seen a handful of American Idol or Bachelor episodes since it started and I have never watched an episode of Big Brother, Survivor, etc...

2 - I am not a really a romantic. I don't like sappy chick flicks. Don't get me wrong, I like normal chick flicks like 27 Dresses or 10 Things I Hate About You, but I hated Charlie and have no desire to see PS I Love You or The Notebook. I always disliked when guys took my on dates to watch the sunset, told me I was beautiful or sent me flowers the next day - these all happened on first dates people! That stuff freaks me out!

3 - I get nervous before I bite into a piece of fruit every time. I get really anxious about the fruit being too soft or mealy or it just tasting bad. I am totally a texture person and if fruit isn't the exact texture I want it, I can't eat it. It makes me gag. This is especially true with apples and peaches and I eat these fruits all the time so I am not sure why I have not gotten over it.

4 - I always have a celebrity crush. And they always make it into my dreams. They are still famous and on their show but for some reason I am there and we are friends (don't worry, we are never more than friends!) but its like it is normal for them to know me and be friends with me. After thinking about some past crushes from high school (
here, here, here) and some more recent ones (here and here) I think I might have a problem and they kind of all look the same.

5 - I make lists for everything. I have a to-do list for each day, always have a grocery list going, when I get the grocery ads I sit down and make a list of things that are on sale that we need so I can take it with me when we go shopping to price match, etc... It makes me abnormally happy when I look at my lists and everything is crossed off (this isn't as common of an occurrence as I would like)

I could only think of 5 and really needed some help so I asked Ross naturally. He said all of mine were lame and tried to come up with 6 of his own. He couldn't do it either - I have come to the conclusion that I must just be boring. And I thought Ross' list of my quirks was interesting. I don't think of any of those as quirky. So I thought I would share them too.

1- I had never eaten spaghettios or watched any of the original Star Wars movies until I married Ross. Speaking of, why do people actually eat spaghettios?

2- I am deathly afraid of spiders. They give me the chills (and not in a good way) I scream and run away when I see them, but I had no problem touching cadavers in my human anatomy lab and I love to watch the surgeries and injuries on shows like E.R. and Greys Anatomy and look at pictures people have from their surgeries (Ross hates blood, which is why he finds this weird).

3- Ross says I have 5 shirts, each in 30 different colors. (SO not true. Men are just unobservant)

4- I can't leave a dish in the sink, I have to make the bed as soon as we are out of it, I vacuum at least 3x a week and basically keep everything clean, but I won't clean the showers - the one place we go to get clean. That is the one job I make Ross do. I never had to do it growing up, okay! Speaking of, I have never mowed a lawn in my life.
