Let's stop trying to pretend like I have a life, take pictures with a real camera or am witty...and let's just start where I left off... 
At Ross' family Christmas party she got to play a shepperd - she loves being the center of attention. No idea where she gets that from.
We went out to dinner & to see the lights at Temple Square with Ross' friends and family from high school.
Anna's love for Fancy Nancy continues. I found her rummaging through my closet and she was hiding out in her room for a while one afternoon declaring she had a surprise for me. Indeed she did! She was teaching me to be fancy (just like Nancy did with her family in the book). She had found hats, shoes, accessories and all sorts of stuff and labeled them plain or fancy. Then she made a list of plain words on her easel with their fancy counterpart. Love her.

Christmas Eve was spent at my cousins and we had a great dinner - as always. I was in charge of dessert. I made Our Best Bites peppermint brownies for the kids and for the adults....

Red velvet cake with a friggin cheese cake in the middle. Cream cheese frosting and white chocolate curls on top. I want to go to there. Like now.
Christmas morning was spent at our house and after opening presents (we did document it in video, no pictures) we headed up to my parents for the day. We went to church there and afterwords opened presents with the fam.
Love the excitement.
My mom got all the kids binoculars. Huge hit.
She also got an Xbox 360 with Kinect. Mainly so my sisters and I could pretend like we were dancers again. Mind you Chelsie is 8 months pregnant in this picture. lol. Glad she didn't go into labor.
But the best present of all? In November Evan, completely out of the blue, decided underwear was cool cause his sister wears them and was potty trained. Yes people. It was that easy. He had like 3 small accidents the entire first week.
In other Evan news his hair was long.
and awesome.
I may have attempted to trim it up a bit (just to even things out) as I had done it before without Ross noticing (he is the one who wanted to grow it out) but apparently I got carried away and Ross thought he looked like a girl from the nineties with the horrible bangs so one day while I was out he cut it. Unbeknown to me. I can home to this handsome fella and seriously did not recognize him.
In random children news, my kids like to grab every pillow and blanket in the house and put it next to our bed to 'dive' into. This day they needed both their swim suits on as well.
Their new favorite show is Wild Kratts on PBS and they love to act it out. Which is hilarious for me to watch. I was trying to document Evan as he was playing Wild Kratts with me because I love his facial expressions. His eyebrows kill me.

One morning I had told the kids we would be heading to my parents to spend the night. It was not going to be until after lunch, but they just couldn't wait. I turned around to find Evan whining and asking me to go get his bag. He has his books, pj's, Why Writer and binoculars - he got them all by himself. I guess that is all he needs.
I went upstairs to get the bag and found Anna, who had dressed herself, gotten her bag out, packed clothes for the next day, pj's, her toothbrush, paste, fluoride, pillows, blankets, the whole shebang. I love how excited to they get to go to Grandma and Grandpas!
One day after church Anna ate lunch and then ran upstairs to play. Later Ross found some hair in the garbage can in our bathroom. Anna claims he hair was 'bugging her' and though we have had this discussion many times before...she cut her hair. Luckily it was right in front and off the bottom so they were able to feather it around her face and we didn't have to chop the 4 inches off to match it. There was more than this, but I just wanted to show the length.

I got a new phone (a smart one. I am moving up in the world) and the kids probably have more with it than I do. Especially with the camera. I like going through my album each day and finding pictures like this. They make me smile :)
