To pass the time, I have been doing random things to occupy my time and to get my mind off the fact that I am still, indeed, with child. Saturday I got my Bakerella on and made these cupcake/brownie and sugar cookie creations for all the men in our families since we were visiting them on Sunday. I did add a little 'fry sauce' that she didn't have for the fries.
Or I try every old wives tale I have heard to go into labor. Monday I went for a 6 mile walk and even ended it by walking up and down the curb/gutter ( I know it sounds crazy, but I will try anything at this point) and all I did was roll my ankle and almost biffed it (good thing it was late at night and no one saw).
Yesterday I rented Confessions of a Shopaholic and then we had friends over for dinner and dessert. My friend Sara is due about a week and a half after me so we had a lot of fun talking about how awesome people are when it comes to being tactful with pregnant women. I had someone at Wendy's say to me 'We are all taking bets - you must have two in there!' (while pointing to my belly). Wrong. You lose. I think I should have gotten a free frosty for that one.

I was wondering if you were past your due date yet, yuck! I'm so sorry I hope he comes soon! Will your doctor not start you, or do you not want to be started? Those cupcake things look freakin awesome, I really thought they were hamburgers and fries, but that looks way better, you are so creative! I'm so excited for baby, maybe today huh?
Im sorry he has not came yet.. maybe he is on his own agenda up there. Your little baby room is darling & so creative. I guess I just don't have that creative side in me :) Good luck with the baby & I hope he comes soon for your sake :)
p.s. I didn't have a name until a hour before we left the hospital! I think sometimes you have to see the baby before you give it a name:)
I love it when siblings pick out names. I would go with Jordan, it will make a cute story when he gets to share it. I'm sorry that you are past your due date. That is lousy. I'll I have to say is you better use those labor/delivery vibes I was sending your way soon because I need them back. :) Are they just going to let you go on your own time or are they going to induce you??

Cool idea for the cookies! Oh you poor girl!! Is there an option for you to get induced? I had a dream last night that we had our baby and we didn't have a name either. GOOD LUCK!
I guess I shouldn't complain too much because my doctor would have induced me a week ago. However, I would really rather avoid that route. But if I haven't had the baby by Monday, it looks like that is what I will be doing. So if nothing else I will for sure have a baby by then, but I really hope it happens BEFORE then!
Oh Megan, I've so been there! I hope he comes soon. Whether his name is decided or not. Anna is so cute that she's got one picked out. So I'm totally in love with those darling treats!! Your cupcake/brownies look amazing!!! I bookmarked that Bakerella page to try those sometime when I got ambitious enough, but I'm not to that point yet. Yours look fantastic and the fry sauce is awesome.

This time last year I was in exactly the same spot as you! Over my due date and just praying that my doctor would start me! Good luck, I'm praying for ya! I love those treats! So cute. Don't worry about not making it to Lucas' birthday, Hopefully you will be doing more important things. You should have him tomorrow on Luke's birthday, just a thought!

oh my goodness you are amazing! That brownie/cookie hamburger/fry creation is to die for! I have yet to try yours and your sisters amazing goodies and when I get home that is definitely on my to-do list- you guys need to teach me the art of baking! I am sorry you are still pregnant! I had to be induced too--I think it says something about the baby-that they're stubborn! I know I sure was and still am! HA HA! You rock for going on a 6 mile walk to induce labor! Oh and have you tried the foot massaging wives tale. I've heard that there is a spot on your foot/ankle that shouldn't be massaged when you are pregnant because it will induce labor--but since you're trying to induce labor--go for it! And a massage would be a nice relaxer anyway!
It's always so hard at the end. I want him to come for you, but really they are a lot easier to take care of inside then out. So get some sleep, spend some time with Anna and Ross, and clean because when the baby comes things will change. Good luck!
I knew you were getting close. Sorry!!! You need to take a profile pic now and then compare in two months so you can feel super good about loosing like 20 inches off your waist! You're super cool for actually doing the Bakerella stuff. I look at it almost every day and drool but never actually try it. I'm sending all my best gravity vibes your way!!!

And no worries about the name. Ben and I didn't name Logan till we left the hospital and EVERYONE kept asking us what his name was. It just took us awhile to decide what he looked like.
OH Poor you! I hope you go into labor soon... 6 miles! So funny about the name Jordan. It's funny how they get transfixed on something. I can defiantly sympathize with the no name for the child problem. I am pretty sure we will name him Mathis, but who knows. I hope you gave those people in wendy's a big scuzz. How tactless!

First of all you are amazing all of my Bakerella creations turn to crap and yours looks better than the real deal. Awsome. As for the pregnacy labor vibes and wives tales....try rubing your shins (the muscle on the outside of your shin actually) and down to your ankle. i swear it worked for me. My friend rubbed those spots and the boys came the next day, and Avery came two days after the rub. So I guess it doesn't hurt to try at this point right? Good luck. By the way I think Jordan makes a great name for a brother :)
I hope as I type this your watering is breaking or has already broke. Dude you a rockstar! Who else would make those desserts. Oh yeah and walking 6 miles. Okay, so that Fathers Day dessert is SO creative. Loving it! And a word about this baby....at least you aren't doing a home birth like this one girl I know...who went over almost 2 weeks...yes, I said 2 weeks...and when the baby finally came out, she broke her tailbone and the baby's collar bone. So consider yourself lucky that you have time and modern science on your side :-)

Hey, I'm at 37 weeks and I'm ready to have this baby. He'll come when he's good and ready darn it. That's cute Annabelle is so set on a name. My boys were dead set on Cinderella. She probably would have like it until about kindergarten. Thank goodness they finally gave in to Sophie.
