Ross took Anna to the NASCAR race at Miller Motor Sports Park. Apparently Annabelle wanted her picture in front of all the cars - what is she? Some calendar model?!
Our second annual So You Think You Can Dance party. This year did not disappoint - we had tons of yummy food (14 people came and everyone brought something yummy to share). We learned from last years sugar high that maybe we should include more salads and a main dish, so Chelsie and I made these. I did not take any pictures of the event however, because I was too busy talking - surprised?! I know. Here are some from other blogs who posted about it though:
Ross took Anna up to Bear Lake for his family reunion. Evan and I did not join them because it was the super cold weekend in August and they were camping - that doesn't mix too well with a small child. Ross said the water was super cold - but Anna still played in it like it was as warm as her bath tub!
She had a lot of fun playing with her cousin, Danika.
My cousin Sara taught Chelsie and I how to can dilly beans (pickled beans). They may not sound great, but Ross doesn't like many veggies, especially green beans, but he LOVES these and I will do whatever it takes to get him to eat veggies ;)
Our fridge just stopped working one evening (I noticed when I went to get my nightly bowl of ice cream and the ice cream was pure liquid - Boo!). Naturally I just bought $100 worth of groceries that day and pretty much everything but the fridge is covered in our home warranty. KSL.com to the rescue. Ross found a new fridge for cheap and got it that night...at midnight. However, we had no dolly so it stayed in our garage until this week! Yeah, cooking dinner with the fridge in the garage is real fun, let me tell you.
And last, but not least, Evan is getting so big. He is still a super good baby and doesn't cry very much - only when he sister kicks him in the head - Dang kid! He has been cooing a lot more and is all smiles when he is awake.
He even has his daddy's crazy eyebrows. I love this lil' guy!

What a crazy month, sounds way fun though! Evan is so stinking cute, I've been waiting for more pictures of him, I'm so glad he is a good baby for you! And by the way we were brave to take that many kids to the zoo, and luckily no one got lost!
Wow you have been busy! Evan is so cute! His eyebrows really do look like Ross's, that is hilarious! I can't wait to see ya this week, and the kids are welcome at the shower, Lucas could us some playmates!

Oh how I love dilly beans. When younger I would beg my mom to can them. Evan has such a cute face. Can't wait to see you guys on Wed. I also think Katelyn would love to be Anna's best friend because she already says she is.
Sounds like ROSS has been busy this month. Haha just kidding. That sucks about the fridge but I laughed at your nightly bowl of ice cream. I keep eating mine and keep thinking about how you said I couldn't get rid of my last five until I kicked the ice cream. Well I don't have my last five to lose but I would like to look like a buff mama with all my workouts and I still have that stomach! Maybe if I kick the ice cream it might happen. Well my new goal is once all the ice cream in the freezer is gone only 3 1/2 gallons I'm not eating ice cream until after Cancun. I can do this. It's hard cause ice cream is my therapy but I can do it.
You have been busy, the party was a hit and those beans look delish. I love Anna infront of those cars it's great! You have some really cute kids.

No fun about the fridge...I feel your pain, ours went out in April. I'm glad you found one quickly. I love Anna posing by all the cars...too cute. If you guys need someone to watch the Kiddos sunday for the temple dedication we would love to help out. Just let me know.
Oh my heck Meg, he is such a little cutie!! I hope you are planning on bringing him on Thursday because I may just need a little baby snuggling:) In answer to your question about the song on my playlist, yes, it is from Twilight, but that is not why I like it..... I love the band Muse and that is one of my favorite songs by them..... It just so happens that Stephanie Meyer is also a huge Muse fan which I think it why it was put on the movie..... Either way, it's a great song, great band and I have now talked way too long in answer to a very simple question:) See you thursday!
Finally! I have been having with drawls from your lack of posting! I love that Anna is a car girl. And Bear Lake is always cold so I can see why it was not a good idea. I love that last picture of Evan he is getting so big.
You kids are so cute. I can't wait to see little Evan either. We are thinking our pool/water party on friday is going to be in the afternoon like around 2ish if you'd like to join us before the shower. We just decided to make a day of it. I will let you know when the details have been confirmed.
oh my goodness, I LOVE dilly beans!! Especially when they are spicy. I want some right now! Since I am gone every summer I miss out on all the canning fun! I really want to learn to can jam this year though!

Our summers sound so much the same-Molly is such a Daddy's girl since my time has mostly become consumed with nursing a baby...you know how it is.

Evan is getting big! I'm so glad he's a good kid for ya, it makes all the difference. I'm hoping by now your fridge is in your kitchen, if not give us a ring we've got a dolly sitting in our storage room. Gotta love ksl, that's where we got our fridge too, and a whole bunch of other stuff we love. I love those pics of Anna and the sweet cars. She's a babe.
He is so darling. Isn't it difficult to get those two year olds to understand that pounding on their belling or kicking them really doesn't feel good. AHHH! I can relate.

Oh wow--sounds like fun! And I'm SUPER impressed with your Pulled pork sandwiches--I'll have to get brave and try something that superb one day. Thanks for your cute comment--it was kind of a last minute decision to go with my mom but we had tons of fun! I would definitely recommend getting a babysitter and going--but go in like November-March cuz it was SO HOT!!!
