A few weeks ago we went and got the kids Halloween pictures taken. It was an interesting experience - but getting a picture of so many young children should always prove to be just that. Anna was super excited to get her picture taken and then in one moment she went all sour on the idea. For about half of the group pictures she has her lips all pursed together and just looks plain mad at the world. Gotta love her mood swings.
She was much happier when it was just her and Evan. If you can't tell, they are the Pink Ladies and Evan and Cooper are supposed to be Greasers. We couldn't find a costume for Evan, but I didn't want him to be the only one in the group picture that was dressed as a monkey or something. I don't think the 'greaser' costume will be his actual costume for tomorrow night.
We have been having fun this week carving pumpkins, making these, and in the end wishing that I would have made these instead. The gum drop spiders weren't nearly as cute - it was hard trying to get so many chow mein noodles to fit in that tiny gumdrop. When I was talking to Annabelle last night about our ward Halloween party tonight and trick or treating tomorrow she got the biggest smile on her face and yelled, 'I feel so excited!' In other news, Evan had his four month appointment the other day. He is growing well and looking great. He is smiling and laughing more these days. He loves to reach and grab his toys, my hair, the phone I am holding between my ear and shoulder - anything within his reach. He loves to sit up and is still not a big fan of tummy time - though he has rolled over twice now from his tummy to his back. He is still a pretty mellow baby - he didn't even cry when he got his shots at the doctors. Maybe because the circumference of his legs are the same size as mine, who knows?!

That looks like you have been having a lot of fun! Evan's stats made me laugh. Charlie just had her 6 month and she was 14.4 oz. Not quite the same as him.

i have yet to do anything really fun with cooper this year for halloween, i'm pretty much a terrible mom...maybe tomorrow...i guess it's my last chance right? i still think you should have gotten the pic of anna with her sour face, it was hilarious. i hope your day is going better and you somehow get your errands done..sans car...you never needed me the whole time i was down there...then a week after i move...sorry ove. love evans chubby legs...he is pretty great
I love the pics. That is so funny, but that was what I was going to do with our family this year. But I already had a halloween costume for sadie and I really didn't want to take the time and money to make all the poodle skirts for us. But I'll do it another year. I love that you get them pics together every year. I can't wait for tomorrow night. It will be so fun.

I love those pictures--they are so cute! The cupcakes look so good...I haven't made anything...I'm so lame...I even forgot to put up decorations! I'm making up for it, though, by making Maddux wear his costume everywhere...that's the extent of his Halloween excitement. I love how big Evan is--that's awesome.

I love their costumes! What a fun idea! I keep telling R one of these Halloween's we are going to do a theme..this year was close..P was going to be Sister Encarnacion and M was going to be Nacho! Then they got sick and I couldn't finish putting the costumes together..Ahh nuts! next year huh? I was even going to have R be a monk like Nacho..it would have been HI-larious..but only in Utah because most people out here have no idea who Nacho is.

How fun. Halloween is one of those holidays that is a WHOLE lot more fun, now that we have Grant. Kids just make some stuff so much better. HA! He didn't cry at the shots, what a trooper. Grant is going on Tuesday lets hope he doesn't cry either. His legs are also pretty chubby. Today Grant rolled over from his back onto his tummy. I was shocked. I think he was too a little. So do you do the actual trick or treating or do you rock the trunk or treat?
I want to eat your little guys legs. really. please evan can you give some of that chub to my kids?
I love that he's rocking all the charts too, that has got to make you feel good as a mommy.
i am loving this holiday so far. my kids are at a great age to trick or treat, and austin is really understanding everything about the holiday so far. its been alot of fun.

Niki - Anna was 14lbs 11oz at her 4 month. So I think Charlie is quite normal, probably even bigger than normal. lol. Evan is just huge.
Cassi - I didn't put up decoration either. And I have a plethora. I am so bad at deciding where things should go for stuff like that. I just need Jane to stop by and do it as each holiday approaches. :) Hint, hint, Mom!

Sara - All holidays are more fun now with kids. Seriously. We did the trunk or treat and regular trick or treating this year. We were in charge of the ward party/trunk or treating though so it was kind of mandatory. I am more of a fan of the traditional way because, well, that is just how it is supposed to be done. see, you are not nerdy enough to know what transferring pics over means, and i am not classy enough to know what the difference between two spider cupcakes is! i guess we could both just study a little bit longer and figure it out, eh! Sorry about the Halloween Party. No one would make any decisions so it never materialized. We will definately be having a Christmas Party.
I hope Even starts sleeping at night too. We finally had to let Mason cry it out and now he finally sleeps from 8 PM to 5:00 AM. Not the best wake up time but it's better than 2 AM.

The kid weighs over 18 lbs at 4 months!! He's totally rockin Maddux out of the way!! My almost 3 year old and almost 2 year olds are only a few lbs. above him. Wow very impressive, I bet Ross is proud! Way cute costumes by the way, I love the grease theme!
k, so I have a question since you are like the blogging queen. So I have updated my blog like three times since the last time it is showing up on everyone else's blogs.
