Man it was so weird going to a restaurant without Anna - it was so quiet and we could actually talk to each other and not worry about entertaining the little one. We ended up forgoing the movie - we were so pooped from getting up so early to fly back home - It was weird to think we were in Cali earlier that day.
Another reason I LOVE Red Lobster? Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Never did 160 calories of simple carbohydrates taste so yummy!Saturday I drove up to Ogden to get together with my friends from USU and throw Brynn a baby shower. This is Chelsie stirring the lemonade.
We went to lunch at Union Grill then went back to Jane's house to chit chat, open presents and eat some dessert. Chelsie and I wanted to jump on the cupcake bandwagon so we got some yummy new recipes and tried to copy some ideas from Martha Stewart.
I don't know how that women does what she does - we tried to be domestic. At least they were still yummy - hopefully ;)
It was so fun to get together - as usual we could talk for hours and hours and never get bored. I love these girls. Congrats and good luck Brynn - you will be a fantastic mom! - Tara left a little early so I had to put her into this photo, can't forget her!
Later that night we celebrated my bday with my fam and then again on Sunday with Ross's family. Thanks everyone for yummy dinners and wonderful presents - I am truly spoiled.
On an unrelated note - Ross has this new fascination with making homemade bread, I don't know where it came from, but I don't mind it either. He makes it from scratch - no bread maker here. His latest creation - Lion House rolls.
Lately Anna likes to get into my swim bag and pull out the goggles and swim cap and put them on. Of course she needs a little help - but she thinks it is so funny - so I am willing to help her out.

Mrs. Martha Stewart (aka Megan), Martha Stewart's (aka Jane) daughter: the shower and Jane's house were amazing! I was a in awe of the whole thing. I took a cupcake home as a momentum...yeah, that's why I took another one. Needed a souvineer. I love Chelsie's cheese! She is adorable. You Overman girls. I also love that Ross makes bread and rolls. I lived next door to a guy once who had the same obsession, except he did use a break maker. Needless to say we loved having him as a neighbor! Annabelle looks so cute in your swim stuff. I love her voice.
Man I'm such a bad friend cause I didn't call you on your birthday. It sounds like you had a blast oh yeah and by the way Happy Late Birthday! That's awesome Ross is into baking something. I wish Andrew would venture out of making brownies (I'm not complaining) it would just be nice if he would do more. By the way today I ran another 5k in 28 min. NOt even close to you I realize but I shaved about 5 min off my last one and I feel like I could do it even faster or go longer we will see what I feel like fore nxt time.

Oh my...those rolls look AMAZING. I MUST try them! YUM!!! Seriously, somehow I need to try them. Did he get the recipe online? I just love a good roll! Additionally, I am also jumping on the cupcake bandwagon. I have made a goal to try one new cupcake recipe a week...this week: brown sugar cupcakes with honey cream cheese frosting. I'm jealous of Red Lobster, for someone who HATES any type of seafood; I sure have an obsession with that place. So the real question is did you have the key lime cheesecake? Anna is not camera shy that is for sure…she is so stinkin cute! Definitely my cutest niece!
