Ever since Annabelle was a baby I believed she has given an 'all or nothing' attitude. When she was having a good day, it was nothing but smiles and coos and fun fun fun. When it was a bad day, it was full of screaming and fussing - and it seemed I could do nothing to make it better.
This attitude still applies today. We are making the 2 to 1 nap switch. Some days it doesn't even phase her and other days the tiniest thing will set her off. Like the other day she did NOT want to eat her veggies. Ross was supervising Anna while she was feeding herself while I was getting ready for a church meeting and she decided to show Ross just how much she did not want to eat them.
Yes. It's all over the blinds as well.
Poor Ross had to clean it all up since I had a meeting to be to - tee hee.
I always tell new moms when they ask for advice, 'Sometimes I feel there are a lot of stressful parts to being a parent and it can feel as if there are more bad days than good ones. But the good ones are just so good that it makes it all worth it.'
Am I a horrible parent? Sometimes I don't know how people can have more than one child - am I alone or does everyone have days like these?
On a side note: Anna is loving purses. Whenever I get the diaper bag and head for the door, she gets her purse and yells what sounds like "Bicycle" which we finally figured out was 'Bye. Let's go!"

Wow, that's quite the achievment! Thanks for the laugh. That's propably not that easy to get it way up on the cieling like that! She is so cute. I love the one of her peaking out of the box. She has such gorgeous eyes.
I love your stories. They make me laugh. I feel the same way in not knowing how people can have more than one child. Some days are just so fun and some days so frustrating. I wish they had job training for being a mom. She is adorable though so keep at it!
Megan I'm here to tell you two is easier than one. They keep each other entertained. I have those days, that's when I say to Trent right when he gets home from work. Hi babe I'm going to bed, dinner is on the table. It all works out.
I'm done with one, so no advice here. I have no idea how people cope with multiple children, but I am glad they are keeping the population up so I don't have to. Sorry, I'm having one of those not so fun days. What do babies have to cry about anyway? Love the bicycle saying--so random, so appropriate.
I love that last picture! She looks so cute. This weeks the big race, you ready!! We are still coming down so keep your cell phone with you!!
I couldn't agree with you more! Well put.
Man I hated those days of switching from two naps to one especially when that one nap is never long enough. Other than that stop being a baby and get pregnant already! With out experiences like food all over the wall, carpet, blinds, and ceiling there would be nothing cool to blog about.
Maybe Anna is trying to tell you she is sick of baby food. She's saying, "Come on mom give me the good stuff, who cares if I gag and throw up". That bites though, I'm sorry. We all have those days. Especially with switching from two naps to one. Austin did that way to early in his life & it caused for some pretty cranky days. I like your lil' advice to mom's, I couldnt agree more.
i feel the very same way. i feel like i can't make the darn kids happy. i am not cut out for the mom thing. but it always turns out right. i love it. they are sweet and sassy all at the same time.
Those were some pretty amazing words of wisdom you shared. Do you mind if I start using it when I go to baby showers? When I meet women who have already made up there minds that they are never having children it always makes me sad because they just can't understand all THEY are giving up. I applaud you! By-the-way Anna is adorable. I love how she climbs on everything. Luckily we haven't hit that stage. Pigtails are so fun. I don't know if Anna gets called a boy often, but Kate didn't even in PINK! The pigtails helped when she could finally wear them.
oh just wait until she can talk! The all or nothing days intensify when they can talk back! I frequently struggle with this with Brittan (The 5 year old)....good luck! See you this weekend in our wonderful home away from home...I can't wait!
Flip she is going to start spitting out full sentences!! I am amazed at all of the words she says already! She looks so cute in her little skirt...and I agree...get preggers already....Anna is too cute for just one!
Ok, so I just read your comment on Cassi's blog and I totally understand your pain. We can't go to any Chinese restaurants around here because they aren't "authentic" according to Kory. We got into a discussion on Saturday about it and I told him that I don't care if it's isn't authentic and that I like it that way. To me, the authentic Chinese food is yucky and I prefer it non-authentic because it's way more yummy. Anyway, just wanted you to know you're not alone and if you ever want non-authentic Mexican...or Chinese for that matter, give me a call...er, shoot me an e-mail. :)
Oh man that is crazy. Easton already strikes up attitudes with me. I can't wait until he is older I bet he will be ten times worse than you cute little girl. thanks for the tip on the granola bars!
So I must admit Anna is very talented to be able to make that big of a mess with her food…Good thing she is so stinkin cute! Hang in there it was defiantly just one of those days and I promise 2 is better then one!
Anna and Taylee really should be friends. Taylee takes anything with straps and heads the opposite direction of me. I love your translation of "bicycle"... I am glad you translated or I would have had no clue.
You are not a bad parent, we all have bad days, alot of bad days. And two is great because then they entertain each other. Even on her bad days Claire loves to play with Dayton. And she's into purses right now too, that and sunglasses, too cute!
Your little girl is so cute and funny. Did you have these types of tantrums when were little? I am glad I can read your blog to see what I could have in store when we decide to start a family.
ohhh i've been there with the food everywhere..no you are not alone its definitly a challenge with more than one, but like you said the good days make it worth it. Then when you get to lay them down at night and they are all asleep you say, 'ohh they are so sweet and innocent, how could I possibly think otherwise' then they wake up! haha I loved the picture of Anna in the box..was that when Ross was fed up with the cleanup and decided to ship her off to China? haha she's so stinking cute! She's a firecracker!
Look how cute these are Ove! Since you've been in the cupcake mode, I thought I'd share http://tutusandturtles.blogspot.com/2008/04/cupcake-cake.html
Oh my! That is hilarious, I wonder where she gets her firey attitude from?!
Well I must admit I've been reading your blog for quite some time. I find it hilarious! But I thought I better make myself known. Mostly because Brynn found my blog through Chelsie-and I've been reading hers for awhile too. I just don't comment on blogs that often. But your blog is way cute, and I live that picture of Anna on the red chair on the side-way cute, who took that? I also didn't realize you lived in Lehi. I live in Copperton which is 40 min away, but everything is kinda far away when you live where I do. So we should hang out some time-brynn and chelsie too-it could be fun!
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Home Broker, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://home-broker-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.
Oh that little Megan is so cute. Would you excpect anything less than 100% from little overman? I have to say I'm with ya on the one kid thing. Seriously, Beckett is a good baby but two seems a bit overwhelming at this point.
