Weekend Fun

So once again we ventured to O-Town for the weekend. My cousin flew in from Alaska so we were having a big family dinner on Sunday. Ross needed to go into work Saturday, which meant I was going to be bored out of my mind. My mom took pity on me and came down to save me, well mostly Anna, from being by our lonesome all day.

We went shopping, grabbed some and dinner and on the way home Bradee yelled 'Look at the rainbow!' It was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen - so Lacie had to get a pic.

Once we got home Anna had another exorcist vomiting experience - so it was time to give the kiddos a bath an put them to bed. Anna had a blast in Grandma and Grandpa's huge tub, splashing in the water and playing with her cousins.

She kept trying to suck the water out of the shower head faucet. She would suck for a few seconds and then yell 'YUM!'

She makes the weirdest faces - so random, just like her daddy!

We had yummy grilled salmon for dinner on Sunday - my favorite food. Why not make a dessert with my 2 favorite things to go along with it? Peanut butter and chocolate! I got the idea here. Next time I think I will make them in cupcake form, because well....I have a cupcake obsession, so why not?!

The cake was so rich - even I had a hard time finishing a whole slice....no worries, I did.

You sure are making the rest of us look bad by all of your delicious looking food! Mmmm, salmon-I love it too! Anna is such a crazy girl, cute pics in the tub. Molly's not much of a fan bathing with her cousins but maybe she'll grow out of it.

You have become a Martha Stewart! That dessert looked so good and you know chocolate and peanut butter are also my two favorite things! I'll call you when the baby gets here. I would love for you to come over and hang for a while! Hopefully he comes sooner rather than later!

You are such a good little cook, who wouldve known, maybe you got your inspiration from all the macaroni and cheese we used to cook at your house when we were little! Remember we each needed a whole box to ourselves!

I think normally I would be all over that cake, but I happened to eat chocolate cake last night, and I tell you what--I think I could go a while with out eating any sweets. Weird for me, but true. I'll even probably last until tonight! :)

Anna is such a cutie, by the way. Sorry she's been throwing up like that. That's never fun.

That rainbow picture is awesome.

Jer likes Weber a lot. He actually already has a full time job with Consolidated Paving in Ogden. So, he's doing work and school in Ogden and I see him at night briefly!

I love peanut butter cups, but that cake looks out of control!!

I read in your comments before something about possibly doing a SYTYCD finale party... that would be sooo much fun. Count me in. I'll even help you plan something. :)

Anna is so cute!!! So have you always been into baking or is this kind of a new thing. I don't remember getting to try many of your baked goods. Well I must say that this cake looks like the bomb. Andrew might actually like a cake like this since he would rather always eat brownies. Oh man my mouth is watering. I want a piece right now!!!

I am glad your mom was able to come down and save you. Sounds like you had a good time. That is such a cute picture of the girls in the tub. I am also really impressed with your baking skills. The cake is perfect for me since I love chocolate and peanut butter as well. We should have a BBQ and I will put you in charge of the dessert.

Megs, you spend alot of time in Otown. I dont blame you, look at all the fun you have! Gosh look at that dessert! I think you are secretly trying to make all your blog viewers fat by posting all of these pics of your amazing desserts. Everytime I look at your blog I head for the fridge.

What! Did you make this beautiful pile of scrumptiousness!!!??! Wow...our next GNO (that I will be at..so not this next one) you will HAVE to make that. You really are quite the cook! I am impressed with all of your creativeness! And yeah for Otown! Who wouldn't want to be there right? And as always Anna is as adorable as ever! I love the faucet picture.

Everyone is too kind. Really the cake wasn't hard to make...or eat either ;) I am sure any of you would do fantastic job.

Carlee - I don't know if Anna would eat a Cheeto. We never have them, so there has never been an opportunity to give her one. I can't even guess anymore as to which things she will eat or not. She has started to refuse ice cream (can she really be my child?) but has now started eating graham crackers and pretzels. With every new things she tries, she stops eating another food.
