The Perfect Date

My birthday really is the perfect date - not too hot, not too cold. All you need is a light jacket. In fact, I didn't even wear a jacket that day. It was marvelous. We actually did most of the celebrating the day before my birthday. Ross worked in the yard, I went for a run outside in shorts and a t-shirt. **sigh** Now what is up with the friggin snow? Did Mother Nature not get the memo that once spring has come, snow should be banned.

I digress. Later that evening my fabulous cousin Kirsten watched the kiddos while Ross and I went on a perfect date on the perfect date. I am so funny. We went to PF Changs. Our waiter was socially awkward, which we got a good laugh at. The lettuce wraps were yummy. And I picked a dish with lots o' veggies and brown rice. Cause it was my birthday (well, sort of) so I took full advantage knowing Ross wouldn't complain ;)

Then we went shopping and I bought myself some new clothes, and new exercise attire. Sometimes when I think about how many times I have sweat in my other clothes, it makes me physically ill. Then we hit up Spoon Me. Did you guys know you get a free Spoon Me on your birthday? And not like some dinky sized frozen yogurt either, I might add. Free frozen yogurt = birthday bliss.

Ross is not a big frozen yogurt fan however, so when he saw the 'light' was on, we made a pit stop here so he could buy himself three (not counting the 2 fresh glazed donuts he had in line) smore's donuts.

Sunday we drove up to my parents house where my mom made my favorite dinner - salmon, asparagus and couscous. Ross made the comment that I tried to pick a dinner that no one but myself would eat. Whatevs. Then my mom made her rockin' homemade raspberry frozen yogurt. Yum.

Thanks everyone for the texts, FB messages and phone calls. I thoroughly enjoyed that most people's messages involved food somehow. And so now you can all rest easily knowing that I did, in fact, spend my day(s) eating well :)
