Saturday is a special day it's the day we...see oversized stuffed animals?

My mom, dad and brother (who is dying to get out of the house any chance he can get) thought they would venture south for the afternoon and do some shopping at IKEA and Cabella's. Since we live pretty much across the street from Cabella's, we decided to join them for lunch.

Last time we took Annabelle was when we first moved here and she was almost 5 months old. She liked it a lot more this time! She loved pointing at all the animals and getting the noises they make all mixed up. She pretty much made the "bark like a dog" noise at all the animals. Hey, she was excited nonetheless.

Afterward, I saw 27 Dresses with my friend, Nikki. Her husband Kenny stayed back with Ross to "watch Annabelle" a.k.a. play video games. Kidding. They are both exellent for letting their wives enjoy a chick flick. I am sure they didn't mind not attending the movie either :)

If 27 Dresses were part of a wedding reception, it wouldn't be the bouquet toss, but it wouldn't be the Chicken Dance, either. It's more like the cake: mass-produced, maybe a little too sweet but enjoyable all the same. Overall, I liked it.

Iv'e been wanting to see that movie! I like your take on it as if it were a wedding reception. If I could do my wedding again, I would have a krispie kreme cake. Or just a cake in a simple pirex dish with that better than sex cake in it. Mmmmm now that sounds good.

Cute post! It's crazy all those animals at Cabela's! It's almost like going to the zoo.

Loved the review about 27 dresses--you totally should take over that crazy guy on the Today shows job. I had no idea Cabella's has animals. Here I am paying to go to the Hogle Zoo--what a chump I am. Personally, I like the Willow Park Zoo. Nowadays it is totally off the hook.

I am going to see that movie in a couple days with my sis. I haven't been to a movie in FOREVER...I guess that is what happens when you have kids. :) But, I am excited that it is a good one ( I love chick flicks)

We have never been to Ikea or Cabellas! I think we need to make a trip down there to check them out. So I couldn't quite decide which way you were leaning on this review...was it a movie I could wait until it comes out to rent...or is it a must see?

Chelsie - I liked the movie (hence the last sentence of my post). But it's nothing super spectacular. I mean, come on, all romantic comedy's basically have the exact same plot. But if you are in the mood for a chick flick, this movie will quench your thirst.
Cassi - Cabella's has stuffed animals so it's not exactly like the zoo, but for Anna's young age, the 5 minutes drive, free admission, and the fact that it's indoors...I will take it for now. I will definately be taking Anna to the Hogle Zoo this summer though...you and baby M should join us!
KariAnn - That sounds like a great idea! Come down anytime...we would love to see you! I have yet to see Hailey in person.

megan, ya i did this race last year. it was alot of fun. i like the pool better than open water. even though they keep the pool a little warm. yes i am doing the sprint distance. but right now i don't know if i can still go. we have run into some problems up here. so it will depend on if things get cleared up or not. everything is a mess! but that's life right?!
