Favorite Things

So for all of you who read about Lori's 'Favorite Things Swap' on my blog and didn't participate...you are going to be jealous now. Today my doorbell rang and I got my package - yeah! My swap partner was Amanda and she completely spoiled me. Really. And she even made the packages it all look so cute. How I envy those with a creative eye and a knack for cute ideas like this. See for yourselves - You were supposed to include 3 of your favorite things and I got:

A yummy smelling wallflower from Bath & Body Works. I love fall scents and it is 'nutmeg' -Yesssss!

Recipes. Oh Amanda and I are so on the same page. I love to cook and bake and as I have mentioned, I am always looking for new recipes.

These are the ones I am most excited to try:

And a gift card to Shade. I have a problem with this store. Their main store is 1 block from Ross's work and it takes more self control than I have to not stop by there whenever we bring Ross lunch or dinner. It is a little safer loitering online....a little ;)

Seriously. Thank you Amanda! I love love LOVED my gifts.

Oh I'm sooo glad that you liked them! You'll have to let me know which recipes you liked! I LOVED my gifts too! I AM getting to posting...really I am! It was way fun to swap with you, and from the looks of it I really think we should be friends. Great time on your half by the way!

Hey Megan! It's good to hear from you. Annabelle is getting so big!! I finally decided to start a blog for Nate and I, I fell into lots of peer pressure :) Nate's nephew has a hole in his heart. He was a month premature, but when he wasn't really growing they went and had him checked out. So now he's going in for surgery soon. Everything should go well, they are so great at Primary Children's.

Fun! That was a cool idea.
I must say, though, I love wallflowers and have tried most scents and 'creamy nutmeg' is not very nice... stinky.
Make sure you post any recipes you love.. I loved your pizza from a previous post!

Cool gifts! I'm I an idiot that I don't know what Shade is? It must be a Utah thing.

The jelousy is rolling in. What a super cute package she put together. My gift probably would have been a pen, chapstick and a pillow...something lame like that. Glad you looked out and share those recipes.

Dang me and my last few weeks being too busy!! I knew I'd be jealous! I read Lori's post and meant to get to it, and then we just had too much going on for me to think about it.
Good job Amanda :) That's all so cute! Not surprised, you're creative like that. Well, maybe someone will do this fun swap again and I'll get it together enough to participate....

P.S. Did you make the apron? I am in love with it. Yes, yes I am.

CASSI- Food and ahopping combined? I am pretty sure I wouldn't turn that offer down. I am totally in! When does the store open? Or has it already?

AMANDA- No, I wish I was the talented...but my mom is. :) Is that weird that I still ask my mom to make things for me? I have been lovin aprons lately and my mom goes to the cutest fabric shops and always finds fun fabric to make stuff with. I am glad you liked it.

I love the Anna Funnies. They are so cute! By the way, if I tried making banana bread I know it would turn out the same. Thats why I don't even try.
