To Answer Your Question,,,,

Yes, I am indeed pregnant. No, I don't fully understand what I have gotten myself into, but we are very excited nonetheless. There are definitely days when Anna seems to think pushing all of my buttons is the funnest thing in the world that I wonder why I thought I could handle another one...but then I remember that I felt the very same way when I was pregnant with Anna and so far nothing has made me happier (sans marrying Ross) than having Anna in my life, so why not double the joy if you know what I mean.

Hopefully I will answer all your questions. I was just going to answer them in the comments section of my last post, but then I didn't know if any of you who actually wanted to know would go back and read through the comments to find my response. So I guess now everyone is forced to know - bwa ha ha. And contrary to what it may sound like from reading this, I am happy and enjoying the fact that I am pregnant - I am just in the not so fun part and you can most likely expect my posts to sound the same come weeks 35 and on. LOL.
This pregnancy has not been similar to Annabelle's, in fact because it wasn't, I was convinced that I was indeed not pregnant at all for a while. That is until about week 6 when I woke up wanting to puke and have continued to have that feeling with me almost 24/7 since then. Now I don't actually puke, just want to, so I know I shouldn't complain because there are many a women out there who have it much worse than I. About the only thing that will help calm my stomach a little is carbonation...something I haven't drank in 8 years...naturally.

I have had no weird food cravings (with Anna I wanted hamburgers every meal for a week- Ross was in heaven), but if something sounds good I can't stop thinking about it until I eat it. Then I just have to eat it once and I could care less for it in the future. Right now I could really go for some sort of spinach salad with fruit and a yummy vinaigrette dressing, but that is only because my previous craving for Chick fil A was fulfilled due in part to my great mom. One food aversion? Liquids, especially water. Weird. I know. And something I kind of have to force myself to get over because ummm, something about not living without it? But just thinking about it...bleh. Another thing that sounds terrible is anything involving cake or pumpkin. I am pretty sure it is because I made the cake pops and pumpkin cookies with pumpkin kisses right before I got sick. So if anyone is wanting some of the bags of Pumpkin Spice Hershey Kisses, I would be MORE THAN WILLING to unload them.

I am still running and exercising, although it is not happening 6 days a week like before. Mostly because I was an A.M. person and that has become no more. Not because I feel any better in the evening, but because at least then I don't have to drag myself out of bed as well. So hopefully that will change when the first trimester ends.

Speaking of, my due date is around June 20th. I say around because they first said it was the 11th (which I never believed) but had figured it to be the 18th and then the doctor told me it would be the 24th and I don't agree with him at all. Can I do that? Well I am, cause if his due date is right then I shouldn't have been able to have a positive pregnancy test when I did. But in my head I am just going to tell myself that I won't have this baby until the end of July or something so that when I go late, like I did with Anna, I hopefully won't go as insane.

On a somewhat related note. Last week I got together with some fabulous friends to eat and chat - two of the things I am very best at - and I made some of these. Since we have no Sprinkles cupcakes here in Utah, this would have to be the next best thing. When I had decided to make the cupcakes, they still sounded good....not so much by the time our GNO rolled around. I don't even know if they tasted any good because I didn't try one, but I think they still turned out pretty.

Wow the first to comment again! This staying at home thing makes me get on the computer a lot more i guess. I hope you start feeling better, I was the same way always nauseated and wanted to throw up but hardly ever did, but I still complained, don't worry! Props on the running thing still, I haven't ran in a very long time, hoping to get back to it soon!

Hopefully things start getting better with the pregnancy....all of us first timers are looking to you to lead the way into the unknown world of the second child. The cupcakes were delish...Chadd and I loved them even more the day after.

I hope that you start feeling well. That is never fun, especially when you have a husband and another kid to take care of.

Congrats! We are so excited for you. I was the same way the second time around, feeling like you have to puke but I never did. Good job on still running. I have not ran since high school. (unless you count running after Bostyn.) Let me know if there is anything we can do for you.

Your cupcakes were so good- especially the frosting! I was actually going to make cake pops for the party. Good thing I didn't, huh?
Try and drink as much as you can. There is nothing better for you. I on the other hand can't get enough to drink now. Weird. But I'm the same way with my cravings- I can't stop thinking about it until I eat it, then I never want it again. Hope you start feeling better.

Maybe you will have HIM on Jane's birthday the 17th of June. I totally think it is a boy cause so far your experience has been like mine with comparing my two pregnancy but we can talk more about that when I SEE you this week. When are you coming?

you should try zofran. it really is amazing. and if you can't swallow pills ask for the kind that dissolves under your tongue or the kind i have that you just rub on your wrist.
Sorry, you feel so crappy. it's not fun i know.

CONGRATS girl! I am so excited you are pregnant! I know being sick REALLY sucks. I remember it well. It seems like it would almost be better if you could just barf instead of just feeling like you always have to. Hopefully you will get over that part soon. Mine lasted 5-months! Congrats again....make sure you take lots of pictures of yourself so we can see :) I think you get bigger fasted with your second one.

Oh those cupcakes look so yummy! I would have gladly helped consume them for you. I am sorry you aren't feeling as well this time around. I worry about that the next time just becuase it seemed like with Logan it went "so well." Hang in there!

KARIANN - When I went to my doctors appointment he discussed some options with me with the whole nausea thing. He said Zofran is his last resort, so you might want to be on the watch out in case I drive up to Logan to steal yours! LOL.

KELLEY - I started to 'show' or people would ask me if I was prego when I was 10 weeks with Anna and I can tell this time around is the same. I have absolutely no waist so I get ummmm big, yeah. I don't know if I will be posting pictures unless I want everyone to be laughing at me ;)

LIZ- I just picked up some unisom and B viatmin at the store tonight. I hope it works. What have I got to lose right? You were one the people I was thinking about that I should never complain to about being sick ;)

Congrats! You guys are great parents and another one will just make your family that much better!

Oh Megan, they were fabulous!!! And I'm kinda glad you weren't in the mood because that meant more for us! Mmmmmm!

Ok, so why didn't you bring the pumpkin kisses to the party? Explain that one to me! :) jk. Perhaps the tutu class???

Also, I'm so sorry you're in the yucky beginning stages. I dread that part again. Bleh for sure! Carbonation helped me too and I couldn't eat stew. Random. Pregnancy does weird things. :(

Congratulations!!! I was wondering when this would happen..you know after spending some time with us and three kids I wondered if either 1) you were INSANE to want more or 2)if you were thinking about having another one because my kids can be soooo much fun (are you picking up on my sarcasm? but seriously, love my kids, but some days they get hard)

I'm so excited for you to have two. I think 2 is so much better than one. They are so fun.

Thanks for the update on your pregnancy. That is so exciting, and I'm so happy for Ross and you. I remember days like that when I was pregnant with Mackenzie I could still puke even in the 9th month. I had about everything you could think of you could get while pregnant. I also couldn't eat sweets that made me really sick and I craved milk instead of water. Funny things our bodies go through with different pregnancy's. I wish you best of luck though and take care of your self and rest often.

I'm so excited for you! It was so fun to get together and chat last week. Wish you guys lived closer so we could do it more. Those cupcakes were so yummy. Next time I need cream cheese frosting I'm going to have to get the recipe from you.

Adversion to water?! You are crazy and I love it! Well, I'm VERY excited that you are pregnant. Me and Marcia talked about and I can't be happier. I know I'm way to involved in other peoples lives but since I dont have a baby i will relish with you about yours. Congrats!

'Twilight' is almost here. 9:45 is awesome. I can't wait. Totally excited. I got the e-mail about the lunch group and thought, "it will totally be worth missing tomorrow".

In answer to your question, she sat still for the most part but I have had quite a few experiences cutting kids hair so I have learned to be able to move with them. The fish cape also helps because you can poin to a fish where you want them to look and ask them to tell you thngs about it and that keeps them entertained long enough to get a few snips in.

Congratulations Meg! I have not been up to date with blogging and when Sara sent out that last e-mail and congratulated you I had to check this all out! I am so excited!!! I am so so sorry that you are sick. Really...I felt the same thing about water. I couldn't drink it and when I did I was so sick. It was awful. Some juices seemed to be okay. I hope you start feeling well soon. Congrats again!

Congrats I am so excited for you! Will we be seeing you at Thanksgiving?

Ok so everybody thought that I was crazy when I told them that water made me sick, and the only thing that helped me not want to puke, was infact any kind of carbonation. So I feel for ya. Except I have drank it in the last 8 years, alot infact!! I hope you get feeling better soon. I know it doesn't help when people say they know how you feel, but I do know how it feels to finally get to the second trimester and remember what it feels like to actually have a little bit of energy. Keep on Truckin!!

Stephanie Hall said...

Well if our food cravings tell us anything than I would guess you are having a boy like me! Cuz I remember wanting something really bad and not being satisfied until I got it! Good luck with the pregnancy, I'm sorry you have to be sick.

You are going to love having 2 kids! Don't listen to the negative stuff, because it really is fun! I never was sick, so can't help you there. Thanks for the bow advice! I am going to go check it out right now, and I did take those pics, I have been going picture crazy lately so I can convince Brian that if I get a professional style camera I would use it! Good Luck! Oh p.s. Syd and Annabelle need to play!
